Washington : Federal Open Market Committee is expected to leave its benchmark rate unchanged at 5.25% to 5.5%, a level not seen in two decades since its initial rise in July.
The outcome of the two-day policy meeting on Wednesday will include the rate decision, and potentially details on the pace of the balance-sheet reduction program, scheduled for release at 2 p.m. in Washington. Following this, Chair Jerome Powell will address the media in a press conference thirty minutes later.
