Mumbai : Indian indices opened on a positive note on May 29 with Nifty above 18,600. At 9.16, the Sensex was up 469.05 points or 0.75% at 62,970.74, and the Nifty was up 123.20 points or 0.67% at 18,622.50. About 1686 shares advanced, 609 shares declined, and 124 shares unchanged. M&M, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC, IndusInd Bank and Hindalco were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were ONGC, Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Divis Labs and Cipla.
