Jaipur : India beat New Zealand by 5 wickets in the first of the 3-match T-20 series. India chased the 165 run target set by the Kiwis in the 20th over. Suryakumar Yadav scorred 62 off 40 balls, while skipper Rohit Sharma played a fined knock of 48 in 36 balls. After Suryakumar’s dismissal, Team India struggled to continue the run-scoring and found themselves chasing 10 runs in the final over. Despite Venkatesh Iyer’s dismissal, Rishabh Pant held his nerve to take India home as the hosts registered a 5-wicket win.
