Karnataka Assembly Election : Single phase voting on 10th May, Results on 13th May

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday announced dates for the Karnataka assembly elections 2023. Voting for the state Assembly election will be held in a single phase on 10th of May and results will be declared on 13th of May, 2023. With the announcement of dates, the model code of conduct has become effective from today in the state.

 

Addressing a press conference Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar said that Gazette notification for the state election will be issued on 13th April. The last date for filing of nominations is 20th April and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is 24th April.

 

The poll panel had issued an invite to announce the election schedule. The term of the 224-member Karnataka Assembly ends on May 24. The elections will take place in a single phase on May 10.
