Congress releases its manifesto, promises jobs to with Rs. 1 lakh salary

NewDelhi : The Congress party on Friday unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming elections, focusing on the five ‘pillars of justice.’ Party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, along with former party presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, released  the manifesto. Termed ‘Paanch Nyay’ or the five pillars of justice, it encompasses ‘Yuva Nyay,’ ‘Naari Nyay,’ ‘Kisaan Nyay,’ ‘Shramik Nyay,’ and ‘Hissedari Nyay,’ alongside the pledges made by the party for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal highlighted that the manifesto reflects extensive consultations with people nationwide.

Following the manifesto launch, Kharge and the Gandhis will address public rallies in Jaipur and Hyderabad, focusing on key elements of the manifesto. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is intensifying his campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan today. He is scheduled to address rallies in Churu and Jhunjhunu on Friday, rallying against the Opposition.

Congress resolves to launch a Mahalakshmi scheme to provide Rs 1 lakh per year to every poor Indian family as an unconditional cash transfer. The poor will be identified among the families in the bottom of the income pyramid.

In its manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congress pledges to safeguard the freedom of choice for minorities, ensuring they have the liberty to choose their dress, food, language, and personal laws, just like every other citizen. The party emphasizes its commitment to promoting the reform of personal laws, emphasizing that such reforms should be carried out in collaboration with and with the consent of the respective communities.
