Odisha to begin 2nd phase vaccination from Feb 14

Bhubaneswar: After successfully conducting the 1st phase of the COVID-19 vaccination programme, Odisha is all set to start the 2nd phase of the vaccination from February 14th.  Those who have received the vaccination in the first phase will have to receive the 2nd phase vaccination, said Vijay Panigrahi, Director of the health and Family welfare department.

He said that as many as 1,52,351 persons have received the vaccination so far in the first phase which was started on 16th January. The government has set a target to vaccinate 1,52,351 persons in the first phase and is likely to achieve the target by Monday evening.

The state health department is currently preparing the database for the COVID warriors who would be vaccinated in the second phase.

 

Odisha reports 130 new cases

Odisha has reported 130 new COVID-19 cases on January 24, taking the total count to 3.34 lakh cases. However, with increasing number of recoveries, the number of active cases has reduced to 1327. The state has also reported one death in the last 24 hours and 182 recoveries.
