Odisha limits COVID vaccination to five days a week due to weekend shutdown, vaccine short-supply

Bhubaneswar:  In view of the weekend shutdown imposed in urban areas and short supply of vaccines, the Odisha government on Thursday announced that there will be no vaccination sessions on Saturdays and Sundays till further order. Accordingly the vaccination sessions will be conducted from Monday to Friday.

“ In view of the Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) shutdown in all urban areas of the state and short supply of COVID-19 vaccine, it has been decided to conduct vaccination from Monday to Friday (including Gazetted Holidays)every week across the state till further order. No sessions should be planned on Saturday & Sunday. All the CVSs must be sanitized properly during weekend to reduce transmission of COVID-19 infection” the order issued by Odisha Health & Family Welfare department to all the districts read.
