COVID-19 : Odisha’s tally rises past 14000 mark

Bhubaneswar: With 543 more persons tested positive since yesterday, Odisha’s COVID-19 tally has crossed the 14000 mark on Tuesday.

As per the latest updates released by state information and Public relations department, out of the 543 new cases 354 are from quarantine centres and 189 are local cases. With this, Odisha’s total number of positive cases has climbed to 14280 which include 4929 active cases and 74 deaths.

 

Meanwhile, as many as 9255 patients have cured from the infection taking Odisha’s recovery rate to 65 per cent. However, the state has reported 4 fatalities since yesterday and the mortality rate has remained at 0.51 per cent.

Scripting a new story of hope, an 81 years old man, Gopinath Dakua from Kandhamal district has recovered from COVID-19 after a 15-day ordeal.
