With 4454 deaths, India’s COVID-19 death toll crosses 3 lakh

Daily cases drop to 2.22 lakh, Positivity eases to 11.5 %

New Delhi: Despite continuous drop in fresh cases, fatalities remain a big cause of concern as India recorded 4454 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this India has become the third country , after USA and Brazil, to record 3 lakh COVID-19 deaths.

 

According to the data uploaded by union healthy ministry, India has recorded 2.22 lakh new cases and 4454 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this India’s COVID-19 tally has increased to 2.67 crore which includes 27.20 active cases.

Meanwhile, the bright side is the number of recoveries also continued to outnumber new cases as more than 3 lakh patients have recovered during the last 24 hours.

With continuous drop in cases, India’s Test Positivity Rate (TPR) also dropped to 11.5 per cent which was over 20 per cent a month ago.
