Mumbai : Indian indices opened on strong note February 9 on the back of positive global cues.
At 9.37 am IST the BSE Sensex was up 506.85 or 0.88% at 58,315.43 points and Nifty was up 145.45 points or 0.84% at 17,412.20 points.
At 09:15 IST, the BSE Sensex was up 340.79 points or 0.59% at 58149.37, and the Nifty was up 91.60 points or 0.53% at 17358.40. About 1338 shares have advanced, 456 shares declined, and 56 shares are unchanged.
Hindalco, Bajaj Finserv, Tech Mahindra, ONGC and Infosys were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were IOC, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Life and SBI Life Insurance.
