Biznextindia : The lovers of ‘James Bond’ have to wait for another 10 months to watch the latest movie of the franchisee “ No Time to Die”. The 25th Bond film, which was to release last year, will now release on 8th October 2021.

“No Time To Die will be released in cinemas globally on 8 October 2021” said the official website of the James Bond franchisee ‘007.com” this morning.

This is the 3rd time the release of the Bond film is delayed. The film, which is said to be the last outing of Danel Craig as the celebrated Spy James Bond, was originally set to open in North American theatres in April 2020. However, after the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic, ‘MGM’ the producer and distributor of the Bond movies had postponed the release to November 2020, then to April 2021.

While MGM, has not cited any specific reason for the postponement, but it is believed that resurgence of COVID-19 cases in several countries including the United States and China and detection of the Britain strain of the Virus might have compelled the producers to delay the release date.

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected the movie industry, causing closure of theatres and multiplexes for months. Though, the Indian government has allowed opening of theatres from October, the footfalls are yet to be normalized to the pre-covid days. Due to this, release several big budget Bollywood and Hollywood movies have been delayed.
