No major rainfall likely in the next 24hrs in Kerala : Skymet

Bhubaneswar: In a sigh of relief for the people of Kerala and the agencies involved in the relief operations, the intensity of rainfall has weakened in the last 24 hours and is likely to be weakened further in the next 24 hours.

However, private weather agency Skynet  has predicted very heavy rainfall may occur in the western states of the country like Maharastra, Gujarat, western Madhya Pradesh and Light to moderate rains with few heavy spells are expected in parts of Vidarbha, Konkan & Goa, North Madhya Maharashtra.

On the other hand light to moderate rains are likely over Coastal Karnataka, rets of Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, North Punjab, North Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal and northeastern states.

During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains with few very heavy spells occurred over Telangana, parts of Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada and South Gujarat. Also light to moderate rains with few heavy spells were observed over Odisha, Vidarbha, rest of Madhya Pradesh and Southeast Rajasthan
