New Delhi: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of India has limited export of RTPCR kits, Virus Transport Medium (VTM) kits, Surgical masks.
As per the notification by Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) maximum 1.14 crore RT-PCR kits can be exported in the month of August. Similarly, maximum 2.38 crore VTM kits and 1.49 Crore RNA kits can be exported. Only manufacturers of these items can apply for export authorisation.
On the other hand DGFT has allowed export of maximum 4 crore units of 2/3 ply surgical masks and 20 lakh units of medical Goggles in August. Both manufacturers and merchant exporters can apply for export authorisation for these items.
