Markets open weak with Nifty below 17900 ; Zomato, Adani Ent plunge

Mumbai: Indian indices opened lower on February 10 with Nifty below 17,900 on weak global cues. The BSE Sensex was down 95.02 points or 0.16% at 60711.20, and the broad based-Nifty was down 44.20 points or 0.25% at 17849.30.

Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, UPL, M&M and Britannia Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, HCL Technologies, Hindalco Industries and Infosys. About 1128 shares have advanced, 846 shares declined, and 110 shares are unchanged.

Adani Enterprises declined by 0.76% to Rs.1911.05, while Adani ports and Special Economic Zone up by 0.26% to Rs. 583.80.

The shares of food delivery platform, Zomato, which had posted net loss of Rs.346.6 crore, declined by 5% to Rs.51.65.
