Indices open flat, Rupee improves after hitting record low

Mumbai: Indian indices open flat on 30th June 30, 2022 on the June F&O expiry day.

At 09:16 IST, the 30-share index BSE Sensex was up 135.42 points or 0.26% at 53162.39, and the broad based NSE Nifty was up 36.70 points or 0.23% at 15835.80. About 1219 shares have advanced, 443 shares declined, and 73 shares are unchanged.

While, Hindalco, Powergrid, Tata Motors, Tata Steel are the top gainers, the top losers are ONGC, SBI life, HDFC.

Meanwhile, Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 78.89 per dollar on Thursday against previous close of 78.96. On Wednesday, the Rupee had hit a record low of 79 per US Dollar before closing at 78.96.
