India’s COVID-19 tally nears 4 lakh-mark

Bhubaneswar: With record 14516 new cases in 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally climbed near 4 lakh on Saturday.

As per the latest data released by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, India’s total cases rose to 395048 by Saturday morning. The total number includes 168269 active cases and 12948 deaths while 213831 people have been recovered from the viral infection.

Meanwhile, as many as 9121 patients have recovered since yesterday and India’s recovery rate has improved to 54 per cent while 375 patients died in the last 24 hours and the death rate has remained unchanged at 3.2 per cent.

Maharastra has remained the worst affected state in the country as its total number of confirmed cases has climbed to 124331 including 55665 active cases and 5893 deaths and 62773 recoveries. Maharastra is followed by Tamilnadu and Delhi with 54449 and 53116 confirmed cases.
