India reports 70 thousand fresh cases- lowest in 72 days

New Delhi: Continuing the downward trend, India on Monday reported 70 thousand fresh cases, the lowest in 72 days. However, death toll continued to a big concern for the government as 3921 more people died of the infection in the last 24-hours.

According to the data released by the union health ministry India has reported 70421 fresh cases and 3921 deaths in the last 24-hours ending 8 am today. With this, India’s COVID-19 tally has increased to 2.95 crore which includes 9,73,158 active cases and death toll increased to 374305. Meanwhile, 119,501 people have recovered in the last 24-hours taking total number of recoveries to 2.81 crore.
