New Delhi: India has reported little over 60 thousand fresh cases and 1647 deaths in the last 24 hours. However, number of recoveries continued to outnumber fresh cases for the 37th day.
According to the data released by the Union health ministry the country has reported 60,753 fresh cases and 1647 deaths in the last 24-hours. As many as 97743 infected people have recovered from the infection during the period. With this India’s covid-19 tally and death toll have risen to 2.98 crore and 3,85 lakh respectively.
India’s active cases also dipped to 7,60,019 which implies lesser load on the country’s medical infrastructure.
Yesterday, the health ministry said that India’s daily infection declined by 85 percent from the peak recorded on May 7. Similarly, the number of active cases has also declined by 78.6 per cent since the peak.
