Govt extends Lockdown for two more weeks

New Delhi: The government of India today announced the extension of nationwide lockdown for another two weeks starting May 4 till May 17.

“After a comprehensive review and in view of the Lockdown measure having led to significant gains in the COVI-19 situations in the country, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issues an order under the Disaster Management Act,2005 today tp further extend the Lockdown for a  further period of two weeks beyond May4,2020 “ read a statement released by the MHA.

MHA also issued new guidelines to regulate different activities in the period based on the risk profiling of the districts of the country into Red (hotspot), Gree and Orange Zones. The guidelines have permitted considerable relaxations in the districts failing in the Green and Orange Zones.
