GoM constituted to examine GST relief on COVID-19 related items including vaccines

New Delhi: A day after the 43rd GST Council meeting, the Ministry of Finance has constituted a Group of Ministers (GoM) to examine the issue of GST concession/exemption to COVID relief material.

The GoM has been constituted with Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma as the convener and Nitinbhai Patel, deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, Ajit Powar, deputy Chief Minister of Maharastra, mauvin godinho, Transport and Panchayatiraj minister of Goa, K.N.Balgopal, Finance Minister of Kerala, Niranjan Pujari, Finance minister of Odisha, T.Harish Rao, finance minister of Telengana and Suresh Kumar Khanna, finance minister of Uttar Pradesh as members.

The GoM will examine and recommend on the issue of GST concession, exemption on Covid-19 vaccines, drugs and medicines, medical grade oxygen concentrators, Pulse Oximeters, oxygen therapy equipments etc. The GoM will submit its report by 8th June, 2021.
