Bhubaneswar: State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have raised the prices of domestic and commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders by Rs.50 effective March 1. However, the exact amount of hike will vary from state to state.

The OMCs typically adjust the price of LPG at the start of each month. There were speculations that the price of LPG gas cylinders would increase from March 1, as it had not been revised during the last adjustment.

In Delhi, the cost of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has gone up by Rs 50, resulting in a new price of Rs 1103 for each cylinder.

Likewise, the state-run oil marketing companies have also increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders in the national capital effective today. The cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by Rs 350.50, bringing the new price of each cylinder to Rs 2119.50 in Delhi.
