COVID-19 : More than 10000 patients cured so far in India, recovery rate improves to 26.5%

New Delhi: With rising number of recoveries, the gap between India’s COVID19 recovery rate and the world rate is narrowing down. While the global recovery rate is stable at 31%, India’s recovery rate has improved to 26.5%.

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, India’s total number of cases has surpassed the 37 thousand mark, which includes 26535 active cases, 1223 deaths. Meanwhile, the number of people who have cured of coronavirus has surpassed the 10 thousand mark. In percentage terms  India’s recovery rate has increased to 26.5%, while the death rate has remained stable at 3%.

In the beginning of April, India’s recovery rate was just 8% as compared to 20% globally.
