#COVID-19 : India’s total cases cross 1.9 lakh, Recovery rate improves to 48%

Bhubaneswar: India has reported 8000+ cases for the second consecutive day on Sunday taking the country’s COVID-19 tally beyond the 1.9 lakh mark.

As per the latest data released by the Ministry of Health & Family welfare on Monday, the country’s total cases rose to 190535 which include 93322 active cases and 5394 deaths while 91819 people have been recovered and one person has migrated.

With 4836 recoveries in the last 24 hours, India’s recovery rate has improved to 48 per cent. Meanwhile, the country has reported 230 deaths since yesterday keeping the death rate at 2.8 per cent.

Maharashtra has remained the worst affected state with 67685 confirmed cases and 2286 deaths. Maharastra is followed by Tamilnadu, Delhi and Gujarat with 22333, 19844 and 16779 cases respectively.
