Mumbai: Chetan Sharma, the chief selector for Team India, has resigned from his position. In light of his controversial remarks during the TV Sting, Sharma was under scrutiny and had submitted his resignation to BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who accepted it.

Given that the TV Sting had revealed several of Sharma’s surprising claims, including discussions about the ego clash between former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli, it was widely anticipated that he would step down. Among Sharma’s other revelations were that players such as Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya frequently visited him, and that some Indian cricketers received injections despite being fully fit.
