Mumbai: Indian benchmark indices opened today on strong note with NSE Nifty above 13650 levels.
At 09:16 IST, the Sensex was up 288.89 points or 0.62% at 46552.06, and the Nifty was up 83.50 points or 0.62% at 13651.40.
As many as 1094 shares have advanced, 250 shares declined, and 48 shares are unchanged.
Among the top gainers in the NSE are Mahindra & Mahindra, ONGC, Hindalco, Tata Motors and Bajaj Finance. Similarly, the top losers are HCL Technologies, ICICI Bank, Dr. Reddy and Bharti Airtel.
