Odisha clears investment proposals worth Rs 1079.62 crore to setup 112.53 MW green energy projects

Bhubaneswar:  The Energy Single Window Committee (SWC) of the Odisha Government led by Principal Secretary Vishal Kumar De,v has cleared investment proposals worth Rs 1079.62 crore to setup 112.53 MW green energy projects

Under the guidance of Principal Secretary Shri Dev, the SWC has officially approved investment proposals totaling Rs. 1079.62 crores. This substantial allocation of funds is earmarked for pioneering green energy projects, showcasing the state’s firm dedication to achieving its NetZero objective.

The SWC’s decisive backing encompasses pivotal projects, notably including a 30MW ground-mounted solar endeavor by GMR Kamalanga and a 19.53MW rooftop solar initiative by JSL, poised to revolutionize the region’s solar energy capacity.

Moreover, a significant stride towards harnessing hydroelectric power is evident through the approval of a 63MW large hydro project by the state-owned PSU, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (OHPC). This step reflects the state’s proactive stance in embracing renewable energy sources.
