Sarda Metals and Alloys board clears expansion project of Visag Ferro-Alloys facility

Biznextindia : the board of directors of Sarda Metals and Alloys on Monday approved capacity expansion of its Vizianagaram Ferro Alloys plant by way of adding one more furnace of 36 MVA at an investment of Rs.135 crore. With this new furnace the company will add additional capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum. The project is expected to be operational before March 2023.

“..In its meeting held on 10th May 2021, the Board of Directors of Sarda Metals & Alloys Ltd., a material Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Company, has approved expansion project of Ferro Alloys by way of adding one more furnace of 36 MVA (with capacity addition of 50,000 MT p.a.) at its existing facility located at Dist. Vizianagaram, near Visakhapatnam, with an estimated capex of Rs. 135 crore. The projected is expected to be operational before end of FY 2022-23.

The company,which manufacturers Manganese based Ferro Alloys has two operational plants located in Raipur and Vizianagaram with a total installed capacity of 111 MVA (Million Volt Ampere).
