Bhubaneswar: Union Mines secretary Anil Mukim today said that Odisha likely to put up about 18 mining blocks including Iron Ore blocks this year. He said in the whole country more and more mining blocks will be put up for auction in the coming months. Ministry of Mines is taking all steps to remove bottlenecks and provide ease of doing business in Mining sector.
He said this during a review meeting on the auctioning of mines in Odisha. The meeting was attended by R.K. Sharma, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Govt. of Odisha, Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, other officials of State Govt., Central PSUs, IBM, GSI and others. In the meeting issues relating to auctioning of mines, environment forest clearances, ease of doing business in mining sector etc. were discussed.
