NMDC hikes Iron Ore prices by 5% for August

Lump price hiked by Rs.200, fine price hiked by Rs.100

Biznextindia : Public sector miner NMDC has raised Iron Ore prices upto 5 percent effective from 11th August.

While, Lump prices (65.5%, 6-4mm) has been hiked to Rs.4100 from Rs.3900 per tone in July. Fines prices (64%,-10mm) has been hiked to Rs.2910 from Rs.2810 per tonne in July.

These FOR prices are excluding Royalty, DMF, NMET, Cess, Forest Permit Fee and other taxes.

In July, NMDC has reduced prices by 11%. While lump prices were reduced to Rs. 3900 from Rs.4400 per tonne, Fines prices were reduced by 15% to Rs.2810 from Rs.3310 per tonne.

In July, NMDC had reported iron ore production of 2.05 tonne  and sales of 2.95 million tonnes. The cumulative iron ore production in the April-July period was 10.97 million tonnes while cumulative sales were 12.87 million tonnes.
