JSW April Crude Steel output up 2% to 1.39 MT

Bhubaneswar: JSW Steel, part of the diversified US$ 13 billion JSW Group, today reported marginal 2% rise in Crude Steel production at 13.93 lakh tonnes (1.39 MT) in April 2019, against 13.61 lakh tonnes in April 2018.

Of the total 13.93 lakh tonnes, production of flat-rolled products dropped by 1% to 9.53 lakh tonne from 9.67 lakh tonne in April 2018. Meanwhile, production of Rolled products (long) has increased by 4% to 3.36 lakh tonne from 3.24 lakh tonne in April 2018.

Sajjan Jindal controlled JSW Steel is the leading integrated steel company in India with an installed steel-making capacity of 18 MTPA in India. JSW Steel’s plant at Vijayanagar in Karnataka is the largest single location steel producing facility in the country with a capacity of 12 MTPA.
