Festive demand failed to cheer Bajaj Auto as October sales slip 10%

Biznextindia : Despite Festive demand, Bajaj Auto October sales dropped by 10 percent to 3,95,238 units as against 4,39,615 units in October 2021. The drop in overall sales is mainly due to poor sales in the export market.

While the company’s overall domestic sales rose by 11 percent ( YoY ) to 2,42,917 units backed by the festive demand, the export sales has declined by whopping 31 percent to 152,321 units.

Domestic Two Wheeler sales rose by 4 percent to 206131 units whereas two wheeler exports declined by 29 percent to 135,772 units. Overall, two-wheeler vehicle sales dipped by 13 percent to 3,41,903 units.

The company has achieved impressive 86 percent growth in domestic commercial vehicle sales at 36,786 units , while the export was declined by 42 percent to 16,549 units. Overall, commercial vehicle sales rose by 10 percent to 53335 units.
