Mumbai: Domestic benchmark indices opened lower on Monday with Nifty opened below 9100 points. While, BSE Sensex opened with a drop of 216.69 points or 0.70% at 30942.93, and the NSE Nifty-30 dropped by 54.75 points or 0.60% at 9057.15. About 836 shares have advanced, 394 shares declined, and 73 shares are unchanged.
By 10 am Sensex is down by 637.35 points or 2 % at 30522.17 points and Nifty is down by 198 points or 2.17 % at 8931.90 points.
While major gainers on the BSE are ITI, BEML, Glenmark, Gulf oil & Lubricants, major losers include Phoenix ltd, Zee entertainment and Cholamandalam Finance. Zee Entertainment has lost 21% to 128.
While, top gainers on the NSE are Bharti Airtel, Dr.Reddy’s , Infosys and Cipla, top losers include Zee Entertainment,Bajaj Finance, M&M and Maruti.
