New Delhi : Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest seller of passenger vehicles on Monday announced that it’ll hike prices of its vehicles in September. The company has attributed the price hike to rise in input costs. However, the company has not disclosed the extent of the price hike.

“With reference to our earlier communications with respect to price increase, we wish to inform you that over the past year the cost of Company’s vehicles continue to be adversely impacted due to increase in various input costs. Hence, it has become imperative to pass on some impact of the additional cost to the customers through a price rise. The price rise has been planned across models in September 2021” Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) informed the stock market.

In July, the company had hiked prices of Swift and all CNG models upto Rs. 15,000.
