New Delhi: With India’s COVID19 cases risen to 500, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announces a 21-day complete Lockdown throughout India.
Addressing the nation, the Prime Minister thanked people for making Janta Curfew a success. But he warned that due to few people’s casualness the nation.
He announced total lockdown across the country from midnight today for the next three weeks. This is necessary for breaking the cycle of infection of Coronavirus.
My fellow citizens,
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO PANIC.
Essential commodities, medicines etc. would be available. Centre and various state governments will work in close coordination to ensure this.
Together, we will fight COVID-19 and create a healthier India.

“If we cannot break the Coronavirus infection cycle in these 21 days, the nation will go back to 21 years”. he said.
He said that there is no cure for Coronavirus, the only way is social distancing. The Virus is spreading like wildfire across the world. It took 67 days to reach 1 lakh COVID cases, but it took only 11 days for the next one lakh and only 4 days for the next one lakh. So we have to isolate ourselves inside our homes.
“Forget about leaving your home for the next 21 days” he said.
He said that the central government has allotted 15000 Crore for healthcare in India.
