Another record spike of 3.79 lakh cases and 3645 deaths in last 24-hrs

Biznextindia : In yet another record spike India has reported 3.79 lakh new cases and 3645 deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to the data released by the Union Health ministry, India has registered 3,79,257 new cases in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 18376524 and with 3645 deaths the death toll has reached 204832.

Meanwhile, as many as 269507 people have recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. With this India’s total number of recoveries has risen to 15086878.

28,44,71,979 samples tested up to 28th April 2021, for COVID19. Of these, 17,68,190 samples were tested yesterday according to the data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Amid record spike in cases, India on Wednesday opened registration for the 3rd phase of the COVID-19 vaccination programme meant for all persons above 18 years of age. As per reports, around 1.33 crore people applied for vaccination on Wednesday while 80 lakh people registered on Wednesday as the government’s dedicated website, CoWIN.
