15 out of every 100 tested on Thursday were COVID-19 positive

Bhubaneswar: India tested over 14.73 lakh samples on 15th April, out of which 2.17 lakh samples were positive with COVID-19, a positivity rate of 15%. This is for the second consecutive day India has reported over 2 lakh cases.

As per the data released by the union Ministry of Health and Family welfare (MoHFW), the country  has reported as many as 217353 cases on Thursday taking the total tally to 1,42,91,917 which includes 15,69,743 active cases, 174308 deaths and 1,25,47,866 recoveries.

As many as 1185 persons died yesterday due to the deadly virus, while 118,302 people have recovered yesterday.

Meanwhile, as many as 11.72 crore people have been vaccinated so far with 27 lakh doases administered yesterday, the ministry said.

Odisha :

Odisha has reported 3108 new cases and 3 deaths on Thursday taking the tally to 3.61 lakh and total death toll to 1638. However, the good news is 837 people have recovered yesterday taking total number of recoveries to 3.42 lakh.
