Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 102 new cases and one death on Tuesday, taking the total cases to 978 and 5 deaths, said government sources.
Out of the 102 cases, as many as 97 are from Quarantine facilities and 5 cases are related to local transmission. Meanwhile, a 75-year-old man from Cuttack has died of the virus taking the toll to 5.
Of the new cases, 31 persons are from Jajpur district, 21 are from Bhadrak, , 3 from Jagatsinghpur, 8 from Kendrapada 8, 4 each from Khurda, Puri and Angul, 2 each from Balasore, Sambalpur, and Nayagarh.
Interestingly, no new case has been reported from Ganjam district, the worst affected district of the state with more than 300 confirmed cases.
