New Delhi: The name of historic Rajpath has been officially changed to ‘Kartavya Path’. The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Wednesday cleared a proposal to this effect, in a special meeting.
Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi said on the occasion that Rajpath will now be known as ‘Kartavya Path’ as part of the Narendra Modi government’s move to remove colonial symbols and end imperialistic policies.
