Mumbai : Indian benchmark indices opened on Monday (March 27) with marginal gains amid mixed global cues. The Sensex was up 124.08 points or 0.22% at 57,651.18, and the Nifty was up 42.80 points or 0.25% at 16,987.80. About 1102 shares advanced, 948 shares declined, and 148 shares unchanged. Britannia Industries, ONGC, Power Grid Corp, Apollo Hospitals and Hindalco Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were M&M, Titan Company, Eicher Motors, ITC and SBI.
