Mumbai : Indian indexes opened lower on Monday August 29, with Nifty trading below 17200, as a result of weak global cues. The Nifty was down 361.50 points or 2.06% at 17197.40 at 09:16 IST, while the Sensex was down 1,210.62 points or 2.06% at 57623.25. 135 shares are unchanged, 433 shares are up, and 1965 shares are down. All Nifty50 equities were trading in the negative territory, with Tech Mahindra, Infosys, HCL Technologies, TCS, and Wipro being the biggest losers.
