India assumes G-20 presidency today

New Delhi: India will take over as Head of the G20 today (Dec 1), the prestigious group of world’s top 20 economies.

India’s start of the presidency will be marked by several people-centric activities. It includes “University Connect” programme where External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will address students from 75 institutions. As many as 100 monuments will light up across the country with the G20 logo. India is planning to organise more than 200 meeting throughout the year till December 2023.
