Gangtok : At least 23 Army officers have been reported missing after a flash flood in North Sikkim that was triggered by a cloud burst. The flood, which occurred in the Teesta River in Lachen valley, has impacted several Army installations in the area. Efforts are underway to ascertain the full extent of the damage. The incident occurred around 1:30 am.
