Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Thursday reported yet another record daily spike in cases with more than 6 thousand new cases in the last 24-hours.
According to the data released by Odisha Information and Public Relations Department (I&PR) , the state has reported 6164 new cases on 21st April, which is 27 per cent more than the previous day’s figure of 4851.
With this, Odisha’s COVID-19 tally has increased to 3.88 lakh out of which 35075 are active cases and 351386 patients have recovered. In the last 24 hours, as many as 2009 patients have recovered from the deadly virus.

Among the districts Khurdha district has reported 1132 new cases and Cuttcak has reported 360 new cases.
The districts bordering Chhattisgarh are reporting more number of cases. While Nuapara has reported highest 459 new cases, sundargarh has reported 427 new cases, Nawrangpur has reported 207 news cases, Sambalpur reported 229 new cases.
