Bhubaneswar: Odisha state BJP has demanded a special Railway Division in Jharsuguda, the industrial hub of Western Odisha.

BJP state secretary Tankadhar Tripathi has submitted a demand letter in this regard to the Union Railway Minister. The demand calls for the establishment of a special railway division in Jharsuguda, the development and modernization of Jharsuguda and Brajrajnagar railway stations, the installation of railway dumping yards in Jharsuguda and Sundergarh districts, and the construction of railway overbridges in Chowkpada and Balijodi. It also demanded the construction of the Jharsuguda Via Ambikapur railway line, for which survey work has already been completed. The construction of the railway line is likely to benefit the people of Ralgarh district in Chhattisgarh, including Jharsuguda and Sundargarh in Odisha.
