With 50k fresh cases India’s COVID-19 tally crosses 3 crore mark

New Delhi: A day after reporting below 50,000 cases, for the first time in 91 days, India has reported over 50,000 fresh cases in the last 24-hours taking the overall tally to 3 crore mark.

According to the data released by the Union health ministry the country has reported 50,848 fresh cases and 1358 deaths in the last 24-hours. As many as 68,817 infected people have recovered from the infection during the period. With this, India’s covid-19 tally and death toll have risen to 3 crore and 3.90 lakh respectively.

India’s test positivity rate has also continued to remain below 5 per cent for the last 16 days.

India’s active cases also dipped to 6,43,194 which implies lesser load on the country’s medical infrastructure.
