Trump hits out at Islamic Terror, announces USD 3 billion Defence Deal with India

Ahmadabad: The United States will be the biggest defence partner of India and together we will protect our sovereignty in the days to come. US is the most powerful country in the world is joining hands with the potential power India, said US President Donald Trump.

Speaking at the mega ‘Namaste Trump’ programme at the Motera Stadium, he said that the defence partnership between India and US is growing very fast. Tomorrow the US is going to sign a USD 3 billion defence deal for Helicopters and other equipments. Talks are also going on between the two countries for the advanced Air Defence System.

“Our defence relations took a new turn when the Indian and US military has a joint tri-services exercise – Tiger Triumph. We make the best military hardware and we now deal with India. Tomorrow we will sign a 3 billion dollar defence deal. We want India to become our premier defence partner” he said.

“The US and India are united in the pursuit to fight radical Islam. Recently we launched an offensive against ISIS and killed their leader Al-Bagdadi. Every nation has the right to secure its borders. India and US will fight terror together. To this effect since taking office, we have worked with Pakistan to take down terror on the borders. Our relation with Pakistan has improved,” said Trump.

Admiring India’s rich cultural heritage he said that True power of India is its 1.3 billion people. He also thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the grand welcome.
