Shootout in running Train: RPF constable shot senior, three passengers dead in Jaipur-Mumbai train

Mumbai: In a shocking incident, A Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel on Monday morning shot dead four people, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector, on-board a running train near the Palghar railway station in Maharashtra, an official said. The accused Chetan Kumar Chaudhary was later arrested after attempting to run away.

The incident happened inside the B5 coach of the Jaipur-Mumbai train (12956) at approximately 5.23 am, as stated by the RPF. According to reports, the accused after killing his senior, went to another bogie and shot three passengers dead.

Chetan Kumar is scheduled to appear before the Borivali court. According to officials, he is facing a murder charge under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
