Petrol, Diesel prices slashed after a gap of four days

Biznextindia : After a gap of four days, Retail Petrol and Diesel prices were slashed by 22 and 23 paise respectively on Tuesday. Following this reduction, Petrol price in Delhi now stands at Rs. 90.56 paise while Diesel is selling at Rs. 80.87 per litre.

In Mumbai, the revised rates of Petrol and Diesel now stand at Rs. 96.98 and Rs.87.96 per litre respectively. Similarly, in Bhubaneswar, Petrol is being sold at Rs. 91.28 and Diesel is being sold at Rs.88.13 per litre.

Crude oil prices steady

International crude oil prices witness marginal drop on Tuesday after rising on Monday following resumption of normal operations at the Suez Canal.

Both Brent Crude and WTI Crude remain flat at USD 64.94 and USD 61.56 respectively for the May contract. The Indian basket rose by 0.83 per cent to USD 62.12 per barrel.

However, near term graph of Crude price will be decided by two factors- the rise in COVID-19 cases in EU and other countries and OPEC+’s decision on crude oil output.

The OPEC and Non-OPEC ministerial meeting is scheduled to be held on 1st April through video conferencing.
