Bhubaneswar: Mining operation has been halted at IMFA’s Sukinda and Mahagiri Chrome mines owing to worker agitation demanding higher wages, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company has said that it has adequate Chrome stock at its plant site. It is also studying their demands and is looking to resolve the issue at the earliest.

Few months back the FerroChrome Producer had also faced a similar union unrest at its Choudwar plant site, due to which it had to halt production for a brief period.
