Mumbai : Muhurat Trading Ends : Sensex ended at 295 pts higher at 60067.62 points, Nifty-50 closed at 17,921 points, up by 91.80 points as the auspicious Muhurat Trading closes.
About 2535 shares have advanced led by Auto, Banking stocks. On the other hand 514 shares declined, and 146 shares are unchanged.
Muhurat Trading opening : Sensex Gains 350 points or 0.62% at 60095.89, and the Nifty is up 110 points or 0.62% above 17900 points.at the opening of the special Muhurat Trading on the occasion of Deepavali and beginning of Vikram Samvat 2078.
All sectoral indices are trading in the green led by auto, PSU Bank and Power while the midcap and smallcap indices added 0.5-1 percent each. Logistics stocks gain as the cut in excise duty on diesel is likely to ease margin concerns over the sectors margins.
The Muhurat Trading session held on Deepavali evening is considered one of the auspicious occasion to invest in the stock market. This year the session marks the end of the previous Samvat 2077 and the beginning of the Vikram Samvat 2078.
